HAND OPERATED MECHANICAL COMPRESSION TOOLS
For use with Burndy "W" dies.

These tools accept Burndy "W" type dies. They have bent hard wood handles. Their heads have two permanent die grooves. A specific size nose die groove and a "D3" groove which also serves as a seat for die inserts used to install additional splices, taps, and terminal connectors. Designed to provide over 90,000 crimps on terminals with wire ranges through 4/0 ACSR. This tool weighs only 6 lbs. and generates a crimp force of 9,000 lbs.
